Hello once again!!
I hope everyone is having a good October so far! There are so many things coming down the pipeline that I am so excited to share with you. Wednesday nights are in full swing and we are having a great time every Wednesday. We have been going through the first 9 chapters of Acts in a series that is called “ReThink.” This has been such a fun series to go through because it has been seriously challenging the students, and myself, to take a hard look at our faith and ask the hard questions of if we are living and following Christ the way we are told to. I encourage you to take a look at these chapters and ask yourself the same questions that I have been asking the students each Wednesday: do you need to rethink your faith? Ask your students what they have been learning or come and join us on Wednesday nights at 6:30!!
We just finished a 5 week study through the book of Romans. We learned a great deal about the extent that Christ loves us and how, in turn, we are to love others the same way. Our next study that we are starting this Sunday is through the book of 1 Kings. I am so excited for this next study mainly because the students specifically picked this one out!
Fields of Faith is today, Wednesday, October 11th, in Brownwood at Gordon Wood stadium. Coming up today is Fields of Faith. I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am for this event. Students from all over the state are coming together for one night to hear the Gospel and praise our Lord as one body. If this isn’t the clearest picture of heaven I don’t know what is. We are leaving for Brownwood tomorrow at 6 PM and be back late that evening. If you have not already made the decision to be a part of this incredible event, don’t let it pass you up! I can promise you that this is one event you will not want to miss.
Finally, we have officially booked the ski trip for March 10th – 14th. We have booked 40 spots for anyone who would like to come and be a part of this fun outing as a church. You can ski for 3 days or just come and enjoy the mountains and gift shops, its up to you how you would like to enjoy this vacation.
